August 2010 in Skopje (Mazedonien)
15. bis 21. Oktober 2010 in Brüssel (Belgien)
EBD Arbeitsschwerpunkte 2010/2011).
The European Movement Germany participates in the program Train4EU
What is Train4EU?
Train4EU is a training program, designed to run for three years, launched in 2008 by InWent, a non-profit organization aiming for development, training and dialogue, and financed by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. It aims to support local administrators in South Eastern Europe in the process of EU integration by providing the participants an advanced EU-training and building up a network of EU knowledge multipliers with special focus on local administrations in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
How does the European Movement Germany contribute to the project?
The European Movement Germany provides for and leads the organizational structure of the Train4EU program. It is responsible for the preparation, implementing and follow-up of all training activities. It will also conduct three of the seminars attended by the participants: thanks to its extended network, the European Movement Germany is able to offer a broad spectrum of professional speakers. The 25 trainees will receive a formation on EU general affairs and how to handle financial support tools from the European Commission, cross-border cooperation, representation of interests and networking with local and regional interest groups. The training is undertaken with the help of regional partner organizations such as the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) and experts on European topics.
Training seminars schedule:
26th to 31st August in Skopje (Macedonia)
15th to 21st October in Brussels (Belgium)
25th November to 2nd December in Balgrade (Serbia)
Upon completion of the program, the European Movement Germany offers a follow-up by maintaining contact with the participants and helping them work along with regional structures, in particular with the European Movement sections in Albania, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia.
International cooperation:
This project is conceived with the European Movement Serbia, whose national bureau in Belgrade will also bring a dynamic support during the organization and in the course of the trainings. The workshop in Brussels is organized in cooperation with the European Movement International’s bureau and other member organizations. As well as obvious financial advantages, this cooperation allows the project to gain in importance and become the biggest cooperation project between national councils of the European Movement (see also EBD Aufgabenschwerpunkte 2010/2011).
